We'll be posting instructions on how to acheive the same config as online.me for all steps. The top-bar icons are a bit off here now - they shouldn't be duplicating alerts, bus that'll be fixed next week.
As for animated GIFs - those are a little tricky. As you know they may be quite large in size, but at the same time they load like images (not on-demand, like videos), so it is imoprtant to quarantine them from overloading the feed. One solutiomn is to implement them via embeds, which trnascode into webm videos with autoplay, simialr to how Facebook and Twitter does. Another solution is on-server trnascoding. In fact not many people actually upload animated gifs, and it may well be more feasinble to just integrate Giphy picker.
What do you think is the best option?
I know about the puns. I see it a lot and sometimes it's suitable for sure. I just meant that I don't use them but said I don't see the point other than to make puns or be silly.
